New Buy Ideas: ACOR, AUXL, CZZ (rebuy), DEPO, DPTR, DVAX, PTEC (rebuy), SMTS, UWN, UXG

These are just a few long ideas. Of course, not all of them will perform well. Concentrate on the ones showing the most strength.

Update 2:30PM- So far, AUXL is the only one showing any real promise.

  3. I was whipsawed out of CZZ early this month. What's your theory on it?

I see declining oil prices having a bad effect on ethanol plays like CZZ.

  4. Chad,

I also got shaken out of CZZ a few weeks ago. I like CZZ just because of its technicals and chart pattern. Others (longer term investors, etc) like it because it is an agricultural play. I mentioned it as a trade idea soley on the technicals.

  5. I see a consolidating mess over the last 20 days. Can you throw up an annotated graph of what you're looking at? You can email it if you'd prefer. I'm curious.

I pick up the higher lows, but with lower highs going with them...

  6. Sure CZZ is consolidating from its previous high, but when I look at the chart, I see a stock that is setting itself up to spring higher. I like CZZ just based on yesterdays action. Even todays action was not that bad considering the stock closed well off of its LOD. It would have surely been a mess if the stock retraced its entire Jan 28 run up. But it didnt (unlike SUSS for example). This to me is a postive technical sign.

  7. Chad,

If you still need me to explain it in better detail, leave me your email so that I can send you the chart highlighting some of the key points.

  8. No, man, you got it. I was looking up something for one of my own last night and noticed the same patterns in a lot of different examples; "penant" or wedge-ish.

    Thanks!
