Yre, Yes I have also noticed a lot of Chinese stocks attempting to put in bottoms. I like MPEL but I want to wait and see how it shapes up its base first. I warned my readers to avoid MPEL from the beginning. I knew that there was too much hype built into the stock from day one. Now, there are a ton of bag holders who are looking to dump their shares and try to cut their losses. I would keep an eye on it for now.
You know you have to be careful, especially when placing such trades during earnings announcements. I covered my shorts in DECK because the trade was going against me. I then reconsidered shorting, but after earnings were announced. That way I could get a better feel if I should have reshorted DECK at all. Judging by the action, DECK is no longer a good short. It sucks that you are losing money. I lost money on DECK as well. Losing money is never fun. Thats why it is so important to learn from our mistakes.
chinese stocks are on bounce.. looks like npd will join the bounce-party soon.
ReplyDeletempel is also moving due to no more new casino licences in macau.

Yre,
ReplyDeleteDid you ever end up shorting HLF? HLF got hit pretty hard. That would have been a great short term short sale...
