About Me
- Name: Nick M.
- Location: United States
Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Nick and I am a recent graduate of a top research university. I currently hold a BA degree in Psychology. My main interests are industrial/organizational psychology, HR management and of course, securities and the financial markets. I became interested in trading and investing in stocks a few years ago by pure chance and curiosity. After learning some of the basics in 2003, I began to trade in full force in 2004. Although I've been trading for only a few years, I have learned much about stocks, and analyzing charts in this relatively short time span. My experience and chart reading skills are my edge in successfully navigating the stock market. My strategy and discipline is a blend of trader and stock picker. My style of trading has helped me find some of the current markets top winners in their infancy. In addition to my own personal trading and investing, I also manage assets and portfolios for close friends and family. My goals are to continue to improve and refine my trading/investing strategies in order to further enhance my performance in the market. Eventually, I would like to establish my own investment/asset management firm.

Happy Memorial Day, Nick.
Have not been able to follow you much but seems like you have been doing good.
Did you notice SQNM and the fraud they did? I can't believe how a company can manipulate results. Of course it is not simple as that, but wow! that is quite a turnaround. think about ridgeback investing 20 odd millions on the basis of test results that were all manipulated. Of course bigger losses to shareholders but we tend to follow the big money of these investing brains and even they did not know. I took a hit no doubt but have still managed to get a decent return due to my sell in the 20's. Had been holding the "free shares" which are worthless.
What are your biggest top three names (strengthwise) nowadays (I know they all are a trade).
Happy Memorial day to you as well, Andy.
Yes, SQNM is a shame. Just goes to show you how unpredictable a stock can be and the importance of not putting all your money in one stock. Sorry to hear of your loss in SQNM. Hopefully your gains were more than any sustained loss in that stock.
As far as the top, strongest stocks, there are actually quite a few of them: ANV, APAC, ARUN, ATCO, DDRX, ENMD, ETQ, KIRK, MRM, OGXI, ORN,OXGN, SPPI, STEC are all good to have right now. As far as a top three, APAC is definitely one of them. Then ENMD and ARUN is fine too. They are all the top stocks right now..in my opinion.
Update: SCLN sold at 2.29 for roughly a 22% gain.
