Follow the Leaders...

You have to trade whats hot, plain and simple. Today was a crazy day with lackluster 3Q earnings from DNA and AA and a small plane crashing into a skyscraper down at the Big Apple (RIP Cory Lidle). It's Nuts, I tell ya. Still, despite the madness, the markets were able to close down, but not at the day's low. Between tommorow and Friday, we should be expecting a nice batch of IPO debuts. I will be looking at APKT, EHTH, SAI and II (cause it has a miniscule float). I know, I heard about the Visa Ipo, which is very exciting but I can wait. I have several plays in the mix so its A.G.

NITE, CYMI, LRCX, SMSC, CROX, BFAM, TRAD, ERIC, UCTT, PRFT, CVLT, ESPD, CHTP, GILT, ILC

Which of the new IPOs you plan to buy stock of? I like SAI. Any thoughts?

Alice,

I like APKT, EHTH, SAI and II. I plan on buying a little bit of all 4 of them when they debut. I also like SAI as it seems to be the "safest" of them all in terms of being around for a while and being profitable. What I do not like is how Cramer has been pumping it on his Mad Money show. When this guy gets involved with a stock, it usually spells disaster. Still, I will take the chance and buy some and hope that the offer price does not get jacked up before the debut. I think the other ones that mentioned will also have a strong debut, plus they are more low key.

I like your blog a lot. I have requested you in the past to have a link on the side where your current holdings are updated daily with the latest price and your buy price. Do you plan to add that feature?

Thanks

Alice,

Thanks for checking out my blog! I am glad you enjoy it. I remember your request about posting my current holdings, along with buy prices and daily updates. One of the major problems with this, is time constraints. I have a ton of positions and it would be too time consuming to go that route. I am already streched to the limit in regards to time as it is. I am a full time undergrad student who is putting his finishing touches on letters of recommendation, research lab experience, TA-ing, GPA and grades, in order to get into a grad school program. At the moment, I only have enough time to post the pics and on occasion, I will list the price that I entered and sold. I simply present stocks to the readers that I believe will appreciate in value sometime in the near term future. Some of the stocks that I recommned I own and purchase at or near the same time that I mention them. Again, I will try to post some entry points. Most likely, I will post entry points for the upcoming IPOS, so keep an eye out for that.

Thanks. I understand the undergrad life as I got out recently. Anyhow, looking at ZONS today, does it look good for entry again?

Lol, I am not too happy with ZONS today, Alice! Although my initial position is still intact, my addition at 12 was crushed today. I can't recommend it as a buy at this level. Its downfall looks very similar to SYX's, and as you may or may not know, SYX fell an additional 20% today (-40% in 2 days!). The only difference is that SYX had a press release about the delay in its earnings release, which is probably why the stock sold off so badly. Whats ZONS excuse? Same thing? Who knows...I would just keep a close eye on it for now. I am looking forward to the IPOS that will debut tommorow. As long as they don't pull a ZONS, its all good.
